A security family is a collection
of hosts that have the same template assigned and that therefore have the same security attributes.
Use this Security Families tool to do the following:

Assign templates to hosts and networks or change the assignment

View, create, modify, or delete templates
Each host and network with which
communications are allowed must have a template
assigned, either directly or through a hierarchical
fallback or wildcard entry that includes the host or
network.
To view or modify the existing templates, double-click the Security Families icon.
The existing templates display in the the right-hand pane.

To review the attributes defined for an individual template
in a dialog box, click the template's name, and then use the
right (menu) mouse button to select Properties from the
pull-down menu.

To create a new template, select Action->Add Template.

To modify the attributes of a template, click the name of a
template and select Action->Properties.

To assign a host to a template, click the name of the
template. The Action menu displays the Add Host(s) option.
Click the Action->Add Host(s) option.

To see the hosts and networks currently assigned to
a template, double-click the name of the template
The name and IP addresses of the hosts and networks display,
and the Action menu then displays the Add Template,
Delete, and Properties options.

To change which template is assigned to a host,
click on the IP address of the host, and click on the
Action->Properties option.
The Modify Remote Hosts Entry dialog displays.
